Law of Attraction - Show Me The Money
How do you define wealth? What does it mean to you? Does it mean a million dollar home with a separate parking garage filled with exotic cars? Does it mean having a hugely successful business? Does it mean having a happy balanced family? Or does it mean having a bank balance that would rival Oprah’s?
Does wealth mean choosing from the above or can you have it all?
When the DVD movie ‘The Secret’ came out I remember discussing the movie with a friend and he said that he did not like the movie because it focused to heavily on money and it was not for him because he was on a spiritual path and therefore above that sort of thinking.
I asked him to expand on his comment and basically it was his belief that as he was on a spiritual journey he should no longer be interested in financial gains hence ‘The Secret’ to him was shallow.
I found this rather interesting and I gave my own journey some thought, I wandered if it was reasonable to put thoughts of money aside when growing personally and spiritually. My answer; Hell No! Show me the money!
Often in life people make the mistake of thinking that there is a limit to what they can have and what they can achieve. There is a tendency to think that life is about choosing what to sacrifice instead of choosing what to experience. Many people believe that they can only have some of the things that they want and that they are not allowed to have it all. I beg to differ.
Life Is Meant To Be Abundant In All Areas. James Ray
Do you believe that in order to be a good christian or to be religious/spiritual you must be financially ill. Do you think that you were put on this earth to suffer for previous sins? These thoughts do not serve you, life is not meant to be a choice of how much good we can experience. We are not here to only enjoy ‘so much’ good, we are creators and therefore meant to create and experience every single thing our imaginations can come up with.
“Anything the human mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. Napoleon Hill.
Do not limit yourself to a mediocre life because some one said you couldn’t have more. If you are living with the idea that you should not ask for all that you want it is likely that you are harboring some limiting beliefs handed down to you from your parents/guardians/teachers/friends/bosses/colleagues/church etc.
Perhaps when you were growing up you heard statements like “who does she think she is, it’s a sin to have that much money”. Or “he does not deserve to live in a big house like that”. Or perhaps you are like me and the “money doesn’t grow on trees” brigade raised you, and lets not forget the “money is the root of all evil” posse. These statements are meant to keep you in your place, your elders often do not want you to go places that they themselves were to afraid to go, after all “no one else in the family has…did…went…so why should you”?
Do not be upset with them, they had the same beliefs handed to them, instead be thankful that you are now in a time and place where you can make the change, stop the rot and live a different life. Break free from the pack, be the first to leave those limiting beliefs behind. Venture where no one in your family has ventured before, do be and see all that there is to do be and see, you can have it all, you deserve to have it all, the money the cars, the houses, the relationships, the health, you deserve to have it all, and it is all there just waiting for you to simply open your heart, your mind and your mouth and ask for what you want.
Think like Oliver Twist; be the first to venture up front, hold up your bowl of life and say, “Please, can I have some more”.
(What are your thoughts; do you believe that personal/spiritual enlightenment/development means forfeiting financial abundance? Were you the one to break free from the pack in your family? If so how did you do it and what was the response from your family or friends?)
I look forward to your thoughts.

Hi Carol - This is an excellent post and point of view. I agree with every single word. I would like to add that I believe the key to having money and keeping it is to do good with it. If we hoard it, become greedy or put it to ill use, it will surely either leave us or cause us to lead a miserable existance. I look at wealth as a gift that we earn, once we have it we have a responsibility to put it good good use. When we use it in a positive way, the payback is unlimited.
Thanks for this great post!
Oh I hate typos. "once we have it we have a responsibility to put it to good use"
There, I feel better.

Absolutely Shirl, if we do not let money flow from us it does not flow to us.
